Week Twenty-Two (New Beginnings and Old Traditions)

Every week for 52 weeks, I will check the Facebook page for "JOURNAL 52".

Two ladies, "Sarah" and "Effy" will be posting a topic and those interested have to create something based on the prompts they post.

Here is my interpretation of this week.  (Join me, its lots of fun and it gets your creativity growing.

Striped Bark Scorpion - Wild About Texas

The Salado Village Voice newspaper has a column written by Mr Michael Price. In this column he focuses weekly on the natural world around us. His intent is to present information about the insects or animals. My intent is to research more information about the creature he chose and use watercolor and prismacolor pencils to illustrate it. 
Please note that I never use the image he has in the newspaper but I research my own and I add extra information that I read. Since the column stated, February 4th 2016, I have done and will try to do every column he posts for one year.

I am learning slowly how to draw faces from the different teachers that I am taking in the online course:
Let's Face It.

Done with a ball point paint.

Done using different mediums (crayons, color pencils, watercolor, acrylic paint etc)

Ever After (Mixed media art & style course)

“Ever After” is a mixed media art & style development course with a fairy tale theme hosted by Tamara Laporte from Willowing Arts. Tam is joined by 12 popular mixed media art teachers who will all share beautiful fairy-tale inspired lessons with you AND, in Module 2 they will also divulge all their hints and tips on how they developed their own style and how YOU TOO can find your own unique voice as an artist! :) Yay!
